Yes. For effective results and even surface, it is necessary to apply a primer and wall putty before using the emulsion paint. It promises a properly primed, smooth surface when used on cement plaster, concrete bricks, RCC, ceiling/wall plaster, asbestos sheets, and cement–sand renderings. Use the JK Primera Interior Wall Primer for smoothening the surface and let it dry for 4-6 hours. Follow up by applying wall putty and gently sand the surface.
